The sauna is our reset button. The heat, the quiet, an hour with no phone and nowhere to be. It became the part of the week we guard most, and we wanted one small thing to make it better: a sauna hat we'd want to use ourselves.

A good sauna hat does one job well: it keeps the fiercest heat off your head and ears, so you can stay in the warmth for longer without getting uncomfortable. We tried what was already out there. Most were thin or scratchy, and a lot looked and felt disposable. None felt like something you'd keep.
the answer was wool
We kept coming back to wool. Australian Merino is the original performance fibre. It breathes well and sits soft against the skin. Felted thick, it also works as a proper insulator: the dense felt traps a layer of air between the heat and your head, which is what a sauna hat has to do. The wool is grown here in Australia, and we felt it into something that can handle the heat.

We make two shapes, and we make them carefully. The Classic keeps the bell silhouette people have worn for generations. The Modern is a cleaner, more architectural take for a contemporary sauna. Both are 100% Australian Merino wool felt. Both work just as effectively to keep the heat off your head.
